Citizens Advice Eastbourne is calling for volunteers of all backgrounds to deliver a warm and welcoming reception service at our Bureau.
The charity is launching an appeal for new recruits who can give their time to help people struggling with various issues including housing, benefits and employment.
Receptionists are the first point of contact for our client's that visit the Bureau. They can help clients get the right help in the fastest time possible. They assess people's needs and identify the most appropriate course of action. That might be self-help information, referral to a specialist organisation or an appointment with a Citizens Advice Adviser.
If you enjoy talking to people, problem solving and using IT then this could be the volunteering role for you. No specific experience is necessary as full training will be provided Citizens Advice Eastbourne volunteers come from all walks of life and choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. They include students; people getting back into work after career breaks; people with part-time jobs; carers; and people who have retired.
Volunteers are often looking for new ways to gain valuable experience and enhance their skills, or to enjoy the opportunity to work with and meet different people.
