THIS SERVICE IS NOW SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Plans have been underway to make the office and reception area of Citizens Advice Eastbourne Covid-19 safe. A new video entry system has been installed at the front door, along with screens and hand sanitiser in Reception. The aim is to help clients who are unable to use phones or email to reach the service.
A receptionist will be available every Monday from 10am-3pm to answer the entry phone. Clients unable to use a telephone or email can then be allowed into the office to see an adviser via a video link. This service will be limited to those people who would otherwise not be able to access via phone or computer.
Chief Officer, Alan Bruzon: "Our amazing volunteer team have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, offering our community vital help and advice via phone and email.
"We are taking great care to ensure that our service is operating as safely as possible, with masks, face shields, screens, sanitising gel and test and trace arrangements all in place and by offering a ‘virtual’ adviser we are ensuring the safety of our clients and volunteers."
The service will be operating on a drop-in basis and starts Monday 19 October.
Alan added: "We want to offer advice to as many people as possible, whilst keeping our volunteers and clients safe. We are asking those that can use a telephone or email to continue using these methods to reach us. This will ensure that those accessing the service in our office are those that can’t get help without it.”
